Booster stations or pressure boosting stations
Pressure boosting stations, or booster stations, are systems consisting of one or several pumps and a control panel.
They are used to supply water to industrial facilities and to transport slurry from a dredger to the work site.
Automation and performance
These systems are fully automatic and can operate across a wide range of adjustable parameters.
Booster stations are equipped with horizontal centrifugal pumps, offer high efficiency and good energy performance, and depending on configuration can deliver from 100 m3 to 12,000 m3 per hour.
They can be used to transport slurry or water over long distances and support operation with a geodetic slope of up to 40 m.
Configuration and selection
High-capacity booster stations are usually equipped with an additional low-power centrifugal pump. It keeps the station operating when water demand is low, without switching on the main pumps, which helps reduce wear.
VVV Spetstehnika manufactures both floating and shore-based booster stations with fully automatic or remote control.
